Q:  What type of qualifications do QCTL technicians maintain?

A:  Every QCTL technician establishes their qualifications through various certification programs that predetermine strict training, experience, and physical requirements. Once training and experience levels have been achieved each technician must satisfactorily complete a series of examinations that verify their method knowledge, specification and code familiarity, practical application abilities and physical limitations. QCTL technician certification programs maintained include American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Central Certification Program (ACCP), American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector Program (CWI), American Petroleum Industry (API) 510, 570 and 653 Programs, ASNT SNT-TC-1A Program, Department of Transportation (DOT) Operator Qualification Program (OQ), OSHA 10-hour Safety, and a multitude of client specific certification/qualification programs.
